ARTIST AMONG SHOEMAKERS
If you’re holding in your hands PATINE shoes, and their lasts symbol starts with ‘TJ’ – beware, these are not just ordinary shoes! All these models have lasts created by one of the greatest shoemakers in Polish history, Mr. Tadeusz Januszkiewicz.
Master Tadeusz Januszkiewicz, born 1927, started his apprenticeship at the age of 16, in a then occupied Poland. His passion for making handcrafted shoes endured through World War II and years of communist Poland. Nowadays, there are very few Polish workshops left where shoes are handcrafted with the highest quality. Located at Chmielna Street in Warsaw, the workshop of Master Januszkiewicz is one of them. Thank you, Master, for the lasts you made, for your advice, for your invaluable help and support!

RETURNS
The primary condition for a seamless exchange or return of products purchased at PATINE is to return them in their original, unchanged condition. Returned items must come back to the store exactly as they were delivered.
Therefore, we kindly request that you:
- Try on shoes on a soft surface (carpet, blanket) to avoid scratching the leather sole.
- Avoid bending your foot while trying them on to prevent "creases" on the leather upper.
- Use a shoehorn when putting on the shoes to avoid damaging the heel counter.
- Include the full contents of the packaging (shoes, cotton bag(s), any additional items).
Any signs of wear (scratched sole, creased leather) or incomplete packaging contents may prevent an exchange or a full-value return. Please return the shoes in the same condition you would expect when receiving a new pair.
COTTON BAGS
Not every pair includes the same number of cotton bags, as each brand has its own policy:
- PATINE SHOES - 2 cotton bags for Boots / 1 cotton bag for low shoes
- TLB MALLORCA / TLB ARTISTA - 2 cotton bags for Boots / 2 cotton bags for low shoes
- YANKO - 2 cotton bags for Boots / 1 cotton bag for low shoes
SIZE MARKINGS ON BOXES - 8M TO 8.5
Our brand boxes do not show the traditional marking for half sizes. All you need to know is that "M" represents a half size, so our sizing on boxes appears as follows: 5 - 5M (meaning 5.5) - 6 - 6M - 7 - 7M - 8 - 8M ... , and so on. Therefore, if you ordered a UK size 8.5 on our website and see UK 8M on the box, everything is in perfect order.
